28/08/2010 - What's in your box 31st Aug-3rd Sept
If you've selected an Avid veggie/fruit box, (not Bespoke, or Pick Your Own) check this section of the website at the weekend, to see a rough produce guide, for your next delivery.
If you wish to add to your existing order, please feel free to go online and do so.
Deliveries 31st Aug-3rd Sept, will contain UK potatoes, Cavolonero (a variety of Kale), custard squash, loose carrots, new season leeks, onions, cauliflower and broccoli. Larger boxes will also feature beans, mushrooms and courgettes.
Budget veg boxes, next week, contain the usual-carrots, onions, potatoes and one other veg...A surprise!
Euro veg boxes contain variable amounts of the following: aubergine, courgette, red onions, fennel, mushrooms, peppers, spinach & cherry vine tomatoes….yum! The mixed Fruit/Euro Veg also includes apples, oranges and plums.
Standard fruit boxes contain a mix of fab UK apples & crunchy Grannies, bananas, pears, UK plums and oranges. Budget fruit boxes will contain apples, oranges and bananas. The juice & smoothie box has lots of fruit to experiment with-mango, grapes, apricots, kiwi, melon and grapefruit.
The No Top Ups Box will contain a mixture of the above, salad, standard & Euro veg and fruit. (See NEWS pages for more info).

Every time my family goes to our local farm, to collect our caravan, stored there, we always remark on the luxury lifestyle the chickens lead. They don’t just have a barn to roam, they have a huge field. My two year old daughter loves to visit and to be honest, so do I.

Ooooh....these are oh so yummy! Delicious on crispbread, or toast, they're vegan and gluten free. Choose from Roasted Red Pepper & Almond, or Roast Aubergine & Almond. You can even stir them through cold pasta, for a gorgeous summer salad.

19/03/2010 - Spring & Summer 2010 Box Combinations
With longer, lighter days in mind and more energy to enjoy relaxed meals in the garden (sometimes under the patio heater..!) I’ve created my Al Fresco Dining Box. Full of delicious produce, sourced from this country and European neighbours, (when UK items are unavailable), typical contents include:
-Basics, such as potatoes (new, when in season, bakers when not), onions, mushrooms etc
-Salad items, such as rocket, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber etc
-Mediterranean type produce, such as squash, courgettes, fennel etc.
In addition, the box comes with a delicious pack of home baked rolls, (made with exciting organic ingredients), UK organic cheese, a jar of gorgeous Glenroyd luxury chutney or relish AND two bottles of locally produced organic beer!

I'm really pleased to announce my involvement with Busters Coffee, a Sheffield based social firm who not only supply gorgeous fair-trade, ethically sourced, organic coffee, but also are employers of local people who find it difficult to get jobs. There's a nip in the air and the nights are sadly, drawing in. So, what could be better than a bowl of hearty, healthy soup?
When I had my organic cafe in Holmfirth, my homemade soup used to fly out of the door. Today I've added some of the most popular varieties to my Non Certified Home Baked aisle (14th on the list of aisles on the Go Sopping pages). They can be found under Home Made Microwave Meals & Soups.
The soups serve 2 and come in reusable containers-perfect for taking to work. And to make a real meal of it, why not add some of my home baked GORGEOUS bread rolls....to make the colder weather taste yummy!
